ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER

Dr. Richard Otte is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of California at Santa Cruz. He works on topics involving philosophy of religion, philosophy of science, epistemology, philosophical logic, and metaphysics. His work in formal epistemology centers around experience and conditionalization in Bayesianism, and the relation between rationality and various formal requirements of belief; his work in philosophy of religion deals with the rationality of belief in God; and he is particularly interested in probabilistic arguments in philosophy of religion.
