The goal of Science And Faith Examined meetings is to start conversations that explore the important questions at the intersection of science, philosophy, ethics, and religion.
We do this by creating a venue for conversation that includes a meal, a talk from an expert speaker (typically a scientist), and a time of discussion in groups of 8-10.
Our first series took place during the 2016-2017 school year at Caltech. See our PAST EVENTS below.
Our second series will begin in the fall of 2017. Join us as we tackle more of the big questions, eat good food, and enjoy great conversations.
How Do We decide?
Join us November 3rd for: A collegial conversation about neuroscience, cognitive science, and morality.
Our night will kick off with DINNER and a DIALOG between two scientists: Dr. Antonio Rangel, Bing Professor of Neuroscience, Behavioral Biology, and Economics at Caltech. And Dr. Justin Barrett, one of the pioneers of the field of the cognitive science of religion.
